Of
Oil:
Then
one by one, angels came down from heaven and stood by each of them.
Each angel held a golden bowl. Then the voice of the Timeless- One
echoed in their ears,
“Blessed
are you, and anointed. Blessed are you,
And
sealed. Blessed are you, and filled.”
As
the Lord spoke, the angels each dipped their forefinger into the bowl
they held, then held their finger over the person they stood by. A
sweet oil fell from their finger onto each person’s heart. From
head to toe Caleb and the others were covered with the sweet
anointing oil from God. The Timeless-One continued speaking,
“Go
to battle and win. Go to rescue, and save.
Go
to conquer, and destroy.”
The
above is from, “The
Garden”
from my book, The
Caleb Chronicles.
The
word for anointed in Hebrew is, mishchâh, which means to smear or
spread a liquid. The Hebrew word for oil is, shemen, and it means
grease or liquid like from an olive.
In
the language of Scripture, the
word Anointed
is a very
important word. It means the consecrating, setting apart, and
sanctifying, in a peculiar manner, persons or things to sacred
purposes. Therefore,
in a very important
and personal degree, the Lord Jesus Christ, as the Christ of God, is
emphatically called the Messiah, or Anointed
of JEHOVAH. His name, Messiah, means this. It is, indeed, the same
word in Hebrew, as Anointed in English.
Oil
in Scripture is symbolic of the Holy Spirit. Those filled with the
Holy Spirit give off light, emanate joy and gladness.
Psalm
45:7
You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God,
has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.
Isa
61:3
To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of
heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The
planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified."
2Co
1:21, 22
Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is
God,
who
also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a
guarantee.
So,
you
are, I am, we
are smeared, covered, wrapped,
sheltered by and
with the Holy Spirit and Jesus the Messiah, in that we are set apart
from the world as His very own. We now are smeared with, covered
with, and sealed with Light, with Joy and Gladness in that He
saturates us, so
that
All seeps down in to our bodies, into our hearts and into our very
souls. Now, there is no question of who we are, and who's we are.
