Of the God-shaped
Hole
Wah’li’si
was a woman of High Rock whom the Timeless-One had blessed with an
extra portion of His Fire. Her singing blessed all those who heard
her, and her dancing greatly pleased the Timeless-One. Her beauty was
pure and she looked as though she had bathed in light. At thirty
years of age, she was a leader among the women. All the young girls
wanted to grow up to
be just like her. “Desire the Timeless-One, for He will give you
the fire. Desire me, and you will always want,” she would softly
tell them.
The
above is taken from, “The Contest” from The Caleb Chronicles.
Wah'li'si
is based on my wife, Claudine. Wah'li'si is Claudine's Cherokee name
and means, “Sweet as
a honeydew”.
Wah'li'si is
the spiritual leader to the children of High-Rock. She is a dancer, a
singer and a warrior.
In the book I'm working on now, Wah'li'si uses more of her native language. It's a challenge to write using the Cherokee words, and it's fun as well.

Here,
Wah'li'si says, “Desire the Timeless-One, for He will give you the
fire. Desire me, and you will always want.” If we desire anything
over the Timeless-One, over Yeshuah Jesus, over His Mighty Holy
Spirit we will always be in want. We will always be searching for
something to fill that God-shaped hole in our heart. Oh, and there is
absolutely nothing that can fill that hole like the One Who made it.
Psalm
73:25, 26
Whom
have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth.
My
health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the
strength of my heart; he is mine forever. (NLT)
Exo
15:11
"Who
is like You among the gods, O LORD? Who is like You, majestic in
holiness, Awesome in praises, working wonders?
Desire
the only God that works wonders, that creates and doesn't imitate.
Desire
the only God that has eyes that see, for His eyes see into our
innermost being, into our very soul.
Desire
the only God that has ears that hear, for He hears our silent, sighs
and groans, and our very thoughts.
Desire
the only God that has a mouth that speaks, for He says, “I love
you.”
Desire
the only God that has a heart, for His heart beats with a rhythm that
keeps the universe in motion.
Desire
the Timeless-One for He can fill the God-shaped hole.
