Of Blood and the
Worm:
Caleb
said, “The Holy Verses declare, ‘Stand still and see the
salvation of the Lord!’”
Just
then, the Word came to them and stood at the edge of the platform
where they stood. All fell face down on the floor in worship.
“Arise,”
said the Word. “Arise and walk.”
Caleb
and the others stood to their feet and looked upon the Word. The Word
stretched out His arms and said, “Come. Walk in love. Walk in
power. Walk in the blood.”
The
above is from, “Corridors”
from my book, The
Caleb Chronicles.
The
topic is blood again, only this time let's look
at
it
a
little differently.
The
word for scarlet in Hebrew is Tolah
and Shaw-nee'. Tolah
also means; worm.
Psalm
22:6
But I am
a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised by the people.
This
is a Psalm of Jesus on the cross. Here He calls Himself a tolah,
scarlet (worm). Why?
The
female tolah
worm when it reproduces, climbs to a branch of a tree and bears its
eggs on it. When the eggs hatch and become larvae, they eat the body
of the mother worm. The worm dies in the process, and a crimson spot
is left in the branch of the tree! The scarlet/crimson spot, after 3
days dries out and changes color to pure
snow
white and falls off and flakes away! Wow!
Yeshuah
Jesus willingly hung on a cross of wood. The
blood from his
battered, ripped and torn body stained that
cross of
wood,
and
after three days He rose from the grave, pure and unstained by the
blood. His blood now covers you,
me, us.
We
are stained by the blood of Yeshuah Jesus.
Mat
26:26
And
as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it,
and gave it
to the disciples and said, "Take,
eat; this is My body."
Mat
26:27
Then
He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it
to them, saying, "Drink
from it, all of you.
Mat
26:28
"For
this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the
remission of sins.
When
we take communion we are acting out the offspring of the scarlet
worm. We symbolically eat the flesh and drink the blood of Christ.
Isa
1:18
"Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD,
"Though your sins
are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red
like crimson,
They shall be as wool.
Rev
7:14
And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me,
"These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and
washed their robes and made them white in the blood
of the Lamb.
Selah,
